Pinterest contest: My Favorite Book

It's time we finally embrace Pinterest! We're kicking things off by hosting a Pinterest contest, combining our favorite clothing with old school literature! The prize is a $50 gift certificate on Emerging Thoughts, and the rules are pretty simple:
  1. Create a Pinterest board inspired by your favorite book. Think of the characters, the setting, representative objects, but also dress style. Name the board "Emerging Thoughts: My Favorite Book". Make sure you mention the title of the book in the description of your board.
  2. Follow Emerging Thoughts on Pinterest.
  3. Tag each pin with the hashtag #emergingthoughts.
  4. Make sure you include at least 3 items from in your board.
  5. Leave the link to your board as a comment below.
Our favorite board will win the gift card! We'll consider the overall aesthetic and creativity of your board. You can submit your comment until May 20th, and the winner will be announced the next day, here on the blog.

If you don't have a Pinterest account and you need an invitation, email and we'll send you one asap!

So wonderful to revisit one of my favorite summer reads visually. Water for Elephants is such a beautiful book, and the style from that decade and the overall magical feeling of the novel is so breathtakingly lovely.

What fun I had! Of course "A Very Long Engagement" is my 2nd favorite book, but because my favorite book, "Lolita", was already a board on your pinterest, I chose to do an original board!

Thank you all very much for participating :). I know how time consuming this contest was.

We have picked Lily as the winner, although we are offering complimentary emergingthoughts compact mirrors to everyone who entered. Please email me (lauren@emergingthoughtsdotcom) your mailing address. :)))
